My first blog post

Hello All,

     I'm Ar Careen (pronounced R/Sa/reen) Roberson; the lady behind this personal and beauty style blog. I am happily married to my husband Richard and we have a beautiful daughter named Kyona, that's an adult now (just turned 21) they grow up so fast, and we live in Detroit Michigan.
   
     I decided to start this blog because I have a passion for fashion (I know it sounds cliche) but I truly do. I love mixing high and low end fashion items and coming up with a style that's all my own. I don't try to emulate anyone I do what works for me with the hopes of inspiring others.

     I fell in love with fashion at an early age. I was introduced to it by my paternal grandmother. My grandmother was a fashionista in her own right. She was very Classy and Jazzy at the same time. My grandmother was not like other grandmothers when it came to fashion, she tastefully wore diamonds, leather and furs. When I went to her house on weekends, I would feel like I went from rags to riches. I had a closet full of beautiful clothes, purses and shoes that were all my own. I would also love the way she smelled (which is also why I'm obsessed with perfumes).

     As I got older, I began to gain more of a sense of style; even better my own style. When family and friends needed help with styling a look, they would ask for my advice. I'm not saying that I'm an expert, but it feels good to know that people value my opinion as it relates to clothing and all things fashion.The push that I got from friends and family was also another reason to give this blog a try, so I thought I would document my outfits along the way. So wish me luck as I embark on this new journey.
